Bird Call's The Life is Extraordinary EP is a collection of Chiara Angelicola’s most masterful songwriting and production written under the influence of isolation during Covid-19 and the artist’s experience through postpartum depression after giving birth to her daughter. The Life is Extraordinary EP is the second record self-produced by Angelicola following Year of the Dogfish LP (2019) and was recorded and mixed by long-time collaborator Gabriel Galvin (Rain Machine, Erin Durant). Mastered by Amy Dragon at Telegraph Mastering. The EP features performances by Angelicola on piano, synths, wurlitzer, and vocals, Jeremy Gustin on drums/percussion, Scott Colberg (Calexico) on bass, Kirk Shoenherr (Tegan & Sarah, Chet Faker) on guitar, Dave Smoota (TV on the Radio) on trombone, and Fred Lyenn Jacques (Mark Lanegan, Lyenn) on bouzouki and synths. Nicomo will open the evening with a quartet set.
